The UAE allows VoIP services only through apps approved by its telecom authorities. Currently, BOTIM, C’Me, and ToTok are officially licensed to operate under Etisalat and du networks. These platforms meet the country’s strict regulations for security and revenue sharing. Apps like WhatsApp and FaceTime remain blocked for calling. FaceCall is working toward similar licensing to become a compliant and secure alternative, offering end-to-end encryption, call clarity, and privacy while staying within UAE’s legal framework.
In the UAE, only apps licensed under local telecom networks are allowed for calling. BOTIM, C’Me, and ToTok are among the approved options. They work through Etisalat and du, ensuring legal and stable communication. Unlicensed services like WhatsApp remain blocked for calls. FaceCall is working toward the same level of regulatory approval, combining government compliance with end-to-end encryption and smooth call performance.
